RCW 28A.210.410 and RCW 43.70.830 require all drinking water outlets in public schools built, or with all plumbing replaced, before 2016 be tested for lead at least once between July 1, 2014, and June 30, 2026. Retesting shall occur at least once every five years thereafter. Drinking water sampling and testing must be done in partnership with DOH or contracted through an accredited lab.
