MEAL DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION!

MEALS FOR HYBRID STUDENTS

Breakfast and lunch will be distributed on in-person instructional days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). Your student(s) will receive their meal distribution at the end of their in-person instructional day (morning or afternoon) to take home.  

Students will receive the following daily distributions to include weekend meals: 

  • Monday - Distribution will include one (1) breakfast and one (1) lunch for consumption on Monday.

  • Tuesday - Distribution will include two (2) breakfasts and two (2) lunches for consumption on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

  • Thursday -  Distribution will include two (2) breakfasts and two (2) lunches for consumption on Thursday and Friday.

  • Friday - Distribution will include two (2) breakfasts and two (2) lunches for consumption on Saturday and Sunday. 

You will NOT be able to pick up meals for your student(s) during the weekly bulk distribution if your child is in hybrid instruction during the week. Your student(s) must be in attendance in-person to receive meals.

MEALS FOR VIRTUAL STUDENTS AND NON-ENROLLED CHILDREN (AGES 1-18)

All students enrolled in virtual learning will need to pick up their meals during one of the weekly bulk meal distributions (see list of dates and times below). Additionally, children ages 1-18 who are not enrolled in the Union Gap School District may pick up during these bulk meal distributions. Meals can be picked up at Union Gap School (3201 S 4th Street, Union Gap, WA) through our drive-thru or walk-up stations located in front of the school. There will not be bus meal deliveries available.

Virtual Student and Non-Student Bulk Meal Distribution Dates and Times (pick-up only)

  • January 6th, 2021 (Wednesday): Afternoon 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM OR Evening 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

  • January 13th, 2021 (Wednesday): Afternoon 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM OR Evening 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

  • January 20th, 2021 (Wednesday): Afternoon 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM OR Evening 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

  • January 27th, 2021 (Wednesday): Afternoon 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM OR Evening 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Meals picked up for a virtual student will need to provide the student’s name to verify their enrollment at the time of pick-up.

If your child(ren) are in need of meals and are unable to come to any of the above locations please contact Juanita Justo (jjusto@uniongap.org 509-248-3966 Ext. 400).

Meal Pick-Up Waiver: Parents can pick up meals for their virtual student and/or child without them being present at the time of service. You will be provided a waiver at the time of pick-up. 

Fresh Fruit and Vegetables: The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program will be offered during bulk meal distributions to enrolled students.

Dietary Requests: If your child has dietary restrictions or is a returning student with a change in dietary restrictions, please contact the main office for a special dietary request form. Main office phone: 509-248-3966.
